With input from the membership, the executive board has discussed and approved the following changes to the upcoming Men's and Women's Pairs tournaments. The two events have been combined into a single TWO DAY event on Saturday and Sunday, January 21 and 22. The first 32 men and/or women to sign up will be entered. This tournament is open to members with red or blue symbols on their nametags in the shed. Signing up commits members to be present both days for all six rounds. We will take additional sign-ups as alternates should any of the first 32 withdraw.
On Thursday, 19 January, the Tournament Director will conduct a weighted draw to determine pairings for the tournament. A ruling on substitutions, once tournament play has begun, is still to be determined.
Those members who have signed up already for the separate events will have their names transcribed onto the combined event sign-up sheet. If you are amongst those who have already signed up, but cannot play both days, please remove your name from the new sign-up sheet.
