Weekday mornings are for lessons, practice and fun. As a guest at Palm Creek, after you participate in an introductory lesson and become qualified, you can lawn bowl in the mornings.
Lessons are provided every second Monday morning . If you want to take a lesson, sign up at least a day in advance on the lesson schedule sheets on the outside wall of the small club house building under the large tent.
As a qualified lawn bowler, you will receive a small sticker tag to place on your ID badge that signifies successful completion of your training to lawn bowling. The Club has bowls (the balls are called “bowls”) which you can use without charge.
You will know how to place and use a mat on the green when bowling, and how to roll the “jack;” the target white ball. You will understand how the bowl will bend (curve) to the left or right, depending on how you hold the bowl during delivery. This is the fun and strategic part of lawn bowling. It is more about finesse, not strength.
Many qualified lawn bowlers use the morning sessions for practice and fun. We look forward to having you join us on the green.
